In the book Wild Goose Chase, Mark Batterson tells a story that includes the spanish phase "otra dia, otra adventura." Another day, another adventure. More fitting now I guess would be another year, another adventure.
Last year holds several good memories for me. Others, are quite painful. Some are funny, sentimental, sad...but lots of memories. Over the past year God has shown me in numerous ways that He is providing, He is always loving, and that I will never have to fear or worry. Too bad I'm still trying to learn about how NOT to worry about every little thing. Maybe this will be the year it starts making sense.
I'm excited as I look ahead to this new year. 2012 will be the year that Howie and I add to our family. Sometime around June 6 Baby Stacy will arrive. This will be the year that I continue giving my all at work to help my clients. This will be the year I learn and draw nearer to God than I already am.
Is it scary? Yes, at times. But, as Batterson says "otra dia, otra adventura." I don't care for resolutions. However, I am making the choice to continue trusting God. And that is something that will not fade away as most resolutions too.
Here's to a new year full of brand new memories!
